Gasmilla to bury late father this weekend
Gasmilla Known in real life as Odartei Milla Lamptey aka Gasmilla is set to bury his late dad this weekend.

The musician in an interview with Accra-based radio station Hitz FM said his father (Frank Nii Lantey Lamptey aka ‘Kojo Lee), died at age 60 and would be buried on Saturday, August 27.

Giving tribute about his late dad, the ‘Telemo’ hitmaker said he taught him many things in life so he will make him proud.

Gasmilla disclosed that he still lives by the principles he instilled in him whilst alive.

According to him, I don’t want to believe it until I see him lying down or when we put him in the ground.

“…I still talk about him and live by his principles and morals so I don’t think that it will get any easier but we have to move on and believe that all the good things he wished that we could do, we will achieve it and make him proud wherever he is, he said”.

He averred that, my dad was never ill. My dad was the strongest man I had ever met. He doesn’t do hospitals; he likes our traditional herbal medicines so this came as a surprise to the family and me.

He added that, for him to call me and say he is not feeling well so we should go to the hospital was shocking.

The wake-keeping will be done on 26, the 27th is for the funeral and 28 is for the thanksgiving service” the rapper told MzGee.

On June 9 this year, Gasmilla’s late dad was reported dead

Give your songs to the right DJs – Wei Ye Oteng to musicians

Chief Executive Officer of Drum Lyne Studios, Justice Oteng, known in showbiz as Wei Ye Oteng has observed that some songs fail to hit regardless of their quality because musicians refuse to give them to the right DJs and promoters.

According to him, some musicians look for DJs with huge following and listenership without considering the kind of songs such DJs feed their listeners with.

He believes handing a mid-tempo song over to a DJ with huge following but known for high tempo songs is a wrong move as the DJ will play the song for a while and stop because it does not fit his brand.

“When you have a song, you should always know who you’ll give that song to. Once you miss that, you miss your whole life. DJ’s protect their interest and brands of delivering to his fans the choice of songs they’ve loved him for. So you have missed your shorts by giving him a story he can’t constantly present to his followers. They refused to give their songs to the right people. They go out for those who are famous, they go out for DJs who have large following forgetting that those DJs are doing something that is not within their terrain,” Wei ye Oteng said on Pluzz FM’s AM Pluzz, Monday.

Oteng also indicated that some musicians after making hits, relent on their efforts as complacency sets in. This according to him is a recipe for disaster because there are other acts that are hungry to be at the top.

“Definitely, as time goes on, if your songs are not popping anymore, you will lose out. Over time, people are singing new stuffs and when these stuffs keep coming and you’re unable to match up, naturally, you’ll go down because we are all fighting for one spot,” he remarked.

Oteng has produced hit songs including Sidney’s ‘Kpongor’, Obrafour’s ‘Odasani’, Trigmatic’s ‘Wo Sika Nti’, Obour’s ‘Single Ladies’ and Koo Ntakra’s ‘M’akoma’.

Ace highlife musician, Samuel Owusu has said that he hardly makes money from the music industry in recent times.

The Highlife musician speaking on Adom FM’s Mid-morning show, ‘Work and Happiness’ hosted by Ohemaa Woyeje said the reason is that people hardly CDs these days.

“Lots of people rely on the monies from music but I hardly do because I have other professions I do,” he said.

Samuel Owusu who released his maiden album in 1992 has 13 albums to his credit. His songs include: ‘Abusua Kyiri ka’, ‘Kokosakyi’, ‘Mempe me ho asem’ and several other tracks.

According to him, many people who listen to the lyrics of his songs think of him as a very old man who might be using walking sticks, but that is never the case.

“I started coming out with albums in 1992 when I was 25 years, someone saw me and claimed I thought I was an old man by now, but that is never the case, the truth is that I walk with and converse with Old men and women and that makes me talk like them…,” he said.

He further claimed that he is ready to perform on any platforms whenever he is invited.

Samuel Owusu is out with a new single, ‘Toffee’ which he is promoting.

7 BEST PRACTICES FOR PROMOTING YOUR MUSIC ON SOCIAL MEDIA
There is no denying that the social media landscape has become a very vital terrain for musicians especially when it comes to promoting their newly released music. Many have succeeded in effectively promoting their music whiles many more have failed awfully in their quest. The difference between the two lies in their understanding of the landscape and how well they are able to use it to their advantage.

Care must however be taken when running a social media promotion. More often than not, people tend to annoy, inconvenience, spam or intrude in other people’s space. This can result in a failed campaign and where you are unlucky, you get blocked.

Below are some of the best practices to guide you in your promotion on social media.

  1. Develop Friendship  – Your presence on social media should not be limited to sharing links to your music and videos. It should be one that is interactive. Make friends online. Chat with people. Comment on, like, retweet and share posts of your friends. Put in effort to build a good relationship with your online contacts. When that rapport is established, getting them to listen to your music and sharing it with their friends is a lot easier. And their friends would rather download or listen to a song shared by someone they know rather than it coming from a total stranger. Avoid making people feel they are an advertising outlet
  2. Introduce yourself – As basic as this may sound, a lot of musicians fail to, or rather ignore the simple act of introducing themselves before dropping their music in your inbox. As far as popularity goes, never assume yours stretches as far as the four corners of planet earth, especially when you are up and coming.

Saying hello and preceding your message with who you are and what you do will decrease your chances of your message ending up in the trash. If you do an interesting introduction, it can spark up some curiosity in your recipient to want to get to know more. This can be the beginning of a great relationship with a potential fan.

3. Seek opinions – Never fall for the temptation to think that people will fall in love with your song as soon as they hear it. It’s a trap. At this stage of your musical career, you should have built some decent relationship with some industry people or people with a good ear for music on social media. Seek their opinion about the song you intend to promote before you release it to the general public. Major labels hold listening sessions for songs before promotion starts. This when done will save you from embarrassing yourself, especially in situations where you are the only person who thinks your song is cool.

4. Do not spam – You might think you are spreading your music everywhere online, but there is a very thin line separating your social media activity from spamming. When different copies of the same message or content is spread everywhere with the intent of forcing it on people who will not on a normal day patronize it, it becomes spam; a nuisance.
Posting the download link to your music every morning on the walls and inboxes of your contacts on social media perfectly falls within this category. If you drop a link on a wall or their inbox, it is enough. They will see it. If they want to, they will follow up.

When posting to many groups on Facebook also, be mindful of the time interval between each post, as Facebook will not hesitate to block your account.

5.  Ask for recommendation – This is a brilliant way for you to get more mileage in your quest to get your song out there. Getting music bloggers, DJ’s, presenters or social media influencers to recommend your music to their friends and audience adds a bit of credibility to your online campaign.

6. Target a relevant audience – I have seen people promote their music on platforms that are not in tune with music or that particular genre. Musicians with little or no knowledge of the social media landscape tend to put their music anywhere and everywhere hoping their song will go viral. Well, it became a virus. Do a background check on the people and/or groups you share your music with. Are they music lovers or fans of your genre? Do they already have similar posts in the group? Or it’s a business group where articles about stocks and investments are shared? Do your homework well.

7. Be polite – Greet. Say “Hi”, “Hello”, “Please” and “Thank you”. Whether you are posting directly on your wall or you are sending it as a message, don’t be tempted to think its social media so you can put your manners aside. Promote your music with decorum. Address people rightly. This doesn’t mean you should sound all formal. You can be casual at times but you should bear in mind the kind of audience you are addressing. It’s just not proper for you to address an audience older than you are with the same casual tone you would use on your peers.

I Don’t Do ‘Fast Food’ Songs — Gasmilla
Whenever he drops a new track, Gasmilla firmly believes it would definitely be a hit no matter how long it takes because he does not do ‘fast food’ songs which die out in no time.

According to Gasmilla, so many songs in Ghana today enjoy ample airplay but only for short periods because they are ‘fast food.’

“Songs like Aboodantoi, 3 Points and Telemo were popular for long periods before fresh good material overtook them. The story is, however, different these days,” he told Showbiz in an interview on Monday.

Gasmilla is of the view that some good songs take time to be accepted by the public and because most of his songs are good, they slowly grow on listeners.

The man who shot to fame with Aboodantoi, is currently promoting three new singles: Edey Jom Papa, Meet Your Meter and Naagode. He said research is an important aspect of his work as a musician.

“I don’t rush and to do songs just for the fun of recording them.  I take time and research on trending issues and and that makes people fall in love with the songs,” he said.

Asked whether his three new singles could be bigger than his previous hits, Gasmilla who enjoyed massive airplay with Telemo in 2014 and 2015, said with time, his three singles could be bigger than any of his previous songs.

The Ga rapper said his songs normally get attention from his core fans in the coastal areas before they ‘explode’ everywhere.

“The core fans start using them as  ringtones before they become hits everywhere,” he added.

According to Gasmilla, deejays are usually reluctant to play his songs until they become massive hits. He pleaded with them to patronise his  songs and play them on their platforms.

Touching on how his music journey started, Gasmilla, real name Odartei Milla Lamptey said it all began as a rapper in his secondary school days in Wesley Grammar.

The graduate of the Institute of Professional Studies now University of Professional Studies, Accra, said he was one of the best rappers in school.

According to him, his parents were not very keen when he decided to take the music path. So in addition to breaking onto the music scene with good music, he also had to prove to his parents he was on the right path. “And now my parents are proud of me”, he added.

Contrary to what people say that his songs are tailored to suit only Gas, Gasmilla said “I guess every musician has a language he or she is comfortable expressing themselves in. I am good at rapping in Ga and I want Ghanaians to accept me for that.”

SAMINI
CHOOSES GOD MC OVER KANTA
Sarkodie and M.anifest, weeks ago, released diss songs throwing shots at each other after claiming to be the best in their respective songs. These two singles got Ghanaians talking on social media for long.

After several industry players making their two cents known about the “godMC” and “Kanta” song by M.anifest and Sarkodie respectively, dancehall artiste Samini has shared his thoughts on both songs.

The “Iskoki” hitmaker, on Viasat 1, in a chat with Jessica Opare Saforo, Caroline Simpson and Chantel Asante chose M.anifest’s diss song over Sarkodie’s “kanta”.

Giving reasons for his pick, Samini said he appreciated the efforts M.anifest made on the track.

“When I heard it I hadn’t heard the song so I didn’t believe that M.anifest actually threw shots but when I heard the track, I appreciated efforts in it.

The rap skill and the intellect behind it…”

When Caroline asked his view on Sakodie’s “Kanta” which was a reply to M.anifest’s diss song, he replied, “Kanta I think could have been done with less emotion so that it doesn’t come across as an insult rather than a response.”

TINNY FIRES SHOTS IN "WHO'S THE BEST RAPPER?" VIDEO
Popular hiplife/hiphop artiste, Aletse Tinny, known in private life as Nii Addo Quaynor, has released a new and exceptionally controversial song titled ‘Who’s The best Rapper’.

The track was released on Tuesday together with its music video on TV7 and became an instant topic of discussion perhaps because it was released at a time his colleague artistes are at each other’s throats claiming to be the ‘best rapper.’

It mentions the names of Edem, Sarkodie, E.L, M.anifest, Cabuum and others and asks who, indeed, the best rapper is.

Tinny in the song says it is a mission of vanity for artistes to be competing over who is the best rapper and, therefore, such contests makes no sense to him.

Interestingly, Tinny in same song says he does not fear the ‘rap battle’ because he believes he is good at rap music.

NEWSW-ONE asked Tinny why he decided to compose such a song at a time there is controversy between the fans of Sarkodie and M.anifest on who is the best rapper between the two.

“You may not believe me, but I have evidence to prove that I did this song immediately after the VGMA and it has nothing to do with what you say is going on now,” he explained and added that the timing was coincidental but not intentional.

When asked who he thought the real best rapper was, Tinny said it depends on who is listening to the rap.

“When you ask any member of the BMF, they would tell you Tinny is the best rapper. Ask a member of Sark’s fan base the same question and the person would tell you it is Sarkodie. Same thing happens if you ask fans of E.L or Edem, or Okyeame Kwame.”

“Back in the States, I co-wrote a song for American songstress Madonna which is not yet released… I wrote the song so it’s one of the songs which is actually being pushed to her right now to be released,” he told 3News

With over a decade of experience, Ded Buddy entered the industry in the 1990s with the track Y3b3 Sa, which became an instant hit in Ghana. He later went dormant for some time until 2010 when he bounced back but has still not been able take live up to expectation.

What you don’t know about the ‘god mc’ M.anifestM.anifest is an internationally acclaimed award-winning Hip Hop artist from Accra, Ghana, known for musical boundary crossing multilingual wordplay, and a refreshing hybrid songwriting approach that acknowledges both his Ghanaian upbringing and his sojourns in the West.

Described in 2015 by the Guardian (UK) as “the foremost rapper on the continent,” M.anifest’s originality and impressive lyricism has earned him collaborations with musical giants such as Tony Allen, Damon Albarn, Flea (Red hot Chili Peppers), Erykah Badu, Femi Kuti, A.B Crentsil and more.

2014 saw a blossoming of M.anifest’s artistry, continental presence, and international credentials. He was chosen as the first artist featured on the BBC World Service Africa Beats program. He joined British musical royalty Damon Albarn on a major tour of several countries in Europe and South America in the summer and fall.

He also released stunning visuals for Someway Bi and No Shortcut to Heaven whiles cementing his reputation as one of the best and musically mature live performers in Ghana.

Born in Accra, Ghana as Kwame Tsikata, M.anifest is the grandson of 93 year old Prof. J.H Nketia, one of the leading ethnomusicologists and composers in Africa. M.anifest spent a decade (2001 – 2011) in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, where he cut his professional musical teeth. Upon his return to Ghana in December 2011, his unapologetically modern African musical identity quickly brought a notoriety across Africa.

Less than two years after his return to the continent M.anifest was awarded the best rapper and best Hip-Hop song awards at the 2013 Ghana Music Awards as well as various other continental nods. The success of his last project, Apae: The Price of Free EP (December 2013), which he described as “inspired and provoked by Ghana,” lay in the witty narratives of songs such as Someway Bi and the sincere aspirations and cautionary tales told in songs such as No Shortcut to Heaven.

Over the years, M.anifest has been involved in various album projects and tours. He has released four formidable solo efforts: Apae the Price of Free EP (2013), Immigrant Chronicles (2011), The Birds and the Beats (2009), Manifestations (2007). He was prominently featured on five songs on the Rocket Juice & the Moon album that was a collaborative effort from Tony Allen, Damon Albarn and Flea. M.anifest has also been a frequently featured artist on Africa Express platforms. He was part of the historic Africa Express train tour of the U.K in 2012.

His versatility is not just epitomized in his lyrical dexterity and use of multiple languages (English, Twi, and Pidgen), but in his ability to collaborate across a vast musical spectrum. His recent list of collaborators – Kindness (UK), Kwame Yeboah (Ghana), HHP & Proverb (South Africa), Fatoumata Diawara (Mali), Camp Mulla (Kenya), Hypnotic Brass Ensemble (U.S) – affirms this.

M.anifest’s creativity and entrepreneurial bent has also meant that he is a much sought after public speaker. He is a co-founder of Giant Steps (www.GiantStepsMN.com), a five-year old conference for creative entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial creatives. He has had artist residencies and given lectures in St Lawrence University (NY), University of Ghana, and spoken to several classes in Hamline University, Macalester College (his Alma Mater), Penumbra Theatre’s Summer Arts institute, Ashesi University and more.

Hammer breaks silence on Sarkodie & M.anifest beef
For days now that Ghanaians have been enjoying the feud between two of Ghana’s best rappers, Sarkodie and Manifest, some key industry players have been taciturn on the issue.

A lot have been heard from musicians, entertainment critics and social media commentators on the saga but one person who many have been craving to hear his voice on the issue is legendary record producer and boss of The Last 2 music group, Edward Nana Poku Osei aka Hammer.

After days of not uttering a word, Hammer has finally broken his silence. The man known for grooming some of the best artists in the country did not judge the winner nor attacked the two musicians for starting the beef but hailed them. He said the bicker is an event many have been expecting in the Ghanaian music industry for long.

In a Facebook post Wednesday evening, Hammer expressed joy over the issue stating that the Sarkodie-Manifest clash has made most Ghanaians focus on the content of music than always jamming to the chorus. He called on other rappers to show their rap prowess in the era since Sarkodie and Manifest have paved the way.

Hammer wrote, “This beef may have just answered our prayers… Its finally cast a keen interest by the masses on lyrics and content in songs whom prior to this only focused on choruses and hooks. Rappers, this is ur time… Pls drop that knowledge. I just heard a non rap lover ask me “hammer did u hear Gemini Orleans’ lyrics?” Very interesting.. Especially when Gemini has always been seen as a Gh mainstream impossible becos eye open no dey Gh. The time is now guys!!”

Rev. Gabriel Ansah endorses Obrafuor’s 'Pimpinaa'
One of the influential men of God in Ghana, Rev. Gabriel Ansah who is also known as Oteee, host of Nasem University on Adom fm has endorsed Obrafour’s hit track Pimpinaa.

Rev. Gabriel Ansah disclosed on Adom Entertainment Hall that he enjoys listening to the track.

He told the host of the show, Mike Two that Pimpinaa happens to be his best for the year 2016 and urged follow pastors to purchase a copy of the song.

The outspoken man of God said that he sees the song as gospel and added that the song encourages the youth to eschew immoral activities such fornication.

‘It speaks against fornication and other immoral activities. Listen to the song, there is a version that says that I will not ride a vehicle I have paid for, I will only do that after it is license in my name’ he explained.

The End time prophet said this when speaking about the controversies surrounding the classification of songs into either gospel or circular and also whether the lyrics of a song can make it gospel or the caliber of person who sings the song makes it gospel.

But he explained that not only songs written and released by Christians are classified as gospel.

He indicated that, all songs that talk about God is a gospel irrespective of the person who sing it

The Chancellor for ‘Nasem University’ also mentioned songs like Amakye Dede’s ‘Su fr3 wonyame’, Kwabena Kwabena’s ‘Buekwan’ as some of the songs he considers as gospel even though the musicians who did the songs are known circular artists.

JUPITAR BLASTS STONEBWOY FOR MOCKING SHATTA WALE WITH A VIDEO
BET award-winner, Stonebwoy on Sunday afternoon shared this video on his Facebook page with a certain man in the video more or less comparing Shatta Wale to Stonebwoy.

In the video, the man chose Stonebwoy over Shatta Wale with his reason being Stonebwoy plays more foreign gigs as compared to Shatta Wale and as well Stonebwoy dresses more descent than Shatta Wale.

But one part in the video that Stonebwoy should have edited was where the man said Shatta Wale walks in Tudu-Accra with his mouth smelling and more.

His fellow act, Jupiter the enemies hitmaker has reacted to what Stonebwoy did. According to Jupitar, some artistes pretend to be humble when they get to some level but show their real character later.

He also added that disrespect, pride, selfisheness and more will definitely bring done most of talented acts here in Ghana.

E.L SPITS VENOM ON SARKODIE WITH "TALK DON'T BOTHER ME"
E.L cannot keep his calmness any longer about the shots being fired at him by Sarkodie.

The rapper over the weekend released a comedy skit just to cool tempers but little did we know that he was lacing his boots to release something to reply Obidi.

E.L’s reaction to the entire hullabaloo about his beef with Sarkodie is out and it is just a creative piece.

He did not just talk about his seeming beef with Obidi, he went ahead to address other misconception about him.

The song is a conversation the rapper had with his mum in a phone conversation. In the song “Talk Don’t Bother Me”, he touched on his pineapple hairstyle, his relationship with Berla Mundi and many other developing matters.

Enjoy the song.

HIPLIFE LEGEND ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL
Hiplife legend Obrafour has been quiet in the industry for sometime now.

According to Sarkodie, he has not been well close to a month now.

Obidi in a Facebook post said he has been mute over the rapper’s sickness for long but his current state is not good so he needed to let the world know what was happening to Obrafour.

He added that his Godfather has been admitted at the hospital for weeks now.

He later asked the public to remember Obrafour in prayers. Sarkodie wrote on facebook Monday afternoon that “Was keeping this on the low but now it’s getting serious and will need us all to pray for my godfather @iamobrafour @iamobrafour been admitted almost a month now. And his current state ain’t dat gud but he will be fine. Just want us to remember him in prayers. Thank you”.

Speaking to a member of Obrafour’s management team, he confirmed the musician’s sickness.

He told Zionfelix.net that the Kwame Nkrumah rapper who is currently admitted at the hospital is recovering to treatment.

GTP REPLIES SARKODIE
GTP textiles have waded into the battle between two of Ghana’s most influential rappers Sarkodie and M.anifest.

The duo has caused a social media storm in Ghana with apparent ‘diss’ tracks to each other. The exchange of words by the two has got everyone talking.

M.anifest first released godMC which was seen by most Sarkodie fans as an attack on the BET award-winning artiste.

But in Sarkodie’s response, he dropped a line which sought to attack M.anifest’s fashion sense.

“Obi b? diss me a na ?ny? rapper ?de GTP ntoma pam kaba...Me no me rap y? authentic” meaning “if someone would diss me, not a rapper who uses GTP cloth to sow Kaba.”

Many have interpreted Sarkodie’s line as an attack on GTP textiles and have called on the “Illuminati” singer to apologise to GTP.

In what seems to be an apparent response to Sarkodie, GTP tweeted “#GTP pride itself on producing the best quality, best value textiles, and designs. Still timeless.”

Sarkodie mocked for confusing himself in 'Kanta' diss song
Sarkodie and M.anifest are the talks of the town due to the beef ongoing between the two. After Bossy by Sarkodie was godMC, a reply from M.anifest to Obidi.

Sarkodie Sunday evening released “kanta”, a diss song to also reply M.anifest for throwing shots at him on his “godMC” song.

It looks like English lecturers have spotted an error Sarkodie made in the “Kanta” song which was recorded to diss M.anifest.

Sarkodie somewhere in the “Kanta” song said “See, I’ll help you for free but efiri nne kor? no we [will] be working pro bono”.

According to the English lecturers, Sarkodie contradicted himself in that line of the song.

They explained that the word “Pro Bono” means working for somebody without charging so it doesn’t make sense for Sarkodie to use it again after saying “I’ll help you for free but ?firi nn? kor? no we [will] be working pro bono”.

M.anifest must be careful with Sarkodie beef - Okraku Mantey
It seems the beef between Sarkodie and M.anifest won't end anytime soon. Social media is awash with fans from both artistes defending their favorite.

The Head of Programmes at Hitz FM, Mark Okraku Mantey, a music notable, is advising M.anifest to pull the plug and "mind his language."

Mark Mantey said, "sometimes somebody talks to you very dirty and you want to reply dirtier. The more you get dirtier, because of your brand position, the more your brand is affected."

Speaking on JOYNEWS' current affairs program, Pulse, Monday, he said M.anifest followers are of a particular class and he [M.anifest] must be careful not to follow what others are doing and descend into the gutters.

"Because it is M.anifest, people respect him in a particular class, so if we see him speak like this, we will say no! this can't be M.anifest," he said.

Sarkodie he said has always been aggressive and always painting pictures of his struggles to his fans and it's always about himself which his fans understand.

"If the one who is seen as the cool; especially when we all know the kind of home M.anifest comes from, he schooled in the West and his level of education and all that, the perception is that he must know better," Mr Mantey said.

According to Mr Mantey, M.anifest can battle but must mind tolerance level, as there should be a cut-off point for his language, he as he can't get dirty.

Sarkodie is not hot like he used to be__-BULLDOG
Artiste manager, Lawrence Asiama Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog has indicated that BET Award-winner, Sarkodie is not as hot as he used to be.

Making a submission on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, Saturday, Bulldog said no artiste stays hot after five years. According to him, artistes are rather relevant after that period depending on what they did.

He cited international artistes like Kayne West, Lil Wayne and Jay Z alongside some other local acts adding that Sarkodie is still reigning because there is no one to compete with him as the country does not develop talents.

“No one can stay hot after five years. Relevance can be forever. Sarkodie has passed hotness; he’s very relevant. Now let me tell you why Sarkodie is still a leader. There is nobody who is matching him. The industry hasn’t found his replacement. So at any point if you are doing a show, you put him there. If we were developing artiste in this country, by now, Sarkodie may be at the back burner,” he said

“Sarkodie knows that the system has nobody there. The boy is wise. Five years and that is it. What you do in the five years will enable you to stay relevant forever. VIP started way before. They are still here. How come? They are not hot; they are relevant. Obrafour, same,” Bulldog added.

SOCIAL MEDIA ON FIRE "SARK-FEST"  BEEF
Various social media platforms started buzzing with interesting comments moments after Sarkodie dropped ‘Kanta’.

The song, which is a clear reply to M.anifest’s ‘god MC’ got people talking with many accompanying their messages with funny images.

EL reacts to Sarkodie’s ‘F the bars’ line in #Bossy?
EL is chilling. He seems not to care about all the social media calls to respond to Sarkodie’s Bossy record.
In a shot funny video posted on his Instagram, Elom is seen rebuking himself for writing BARS instead of studying Law and passing the Bar.
Sarkodie rapped in his Bossy single;
“I’m a king but I don’t feel I should wear a crown// That was a clear sound// Mr DJ make you drop this fire on air now// Omo si Sarkodie ndropu Punches// I can do it really but the point is// Wo rapi na wo punchi piia you sound immature// You got to spit from the heart no be your jaw// Best MCs right from the top//They be best cos they write from the heart// B.I.G, Jay Z to Nas, It’s all about emotions bro// F%&@ the Bars”

This hostility many believe started when EL touted PaeDae as a dope rapper on VGMA stage after Sark won the Best Rapper award on the night.

SHATTA WALE TELLS STONEBWOY TO STOP FOOLING AND MAKE MONEY
Earlier today, Stonebwoy posted a video of a wretched “mad” man on his Facebook timeline.

In the video, there is a second voice asking the man to perhaps choose between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale. The man throws jabs at Shatta Wale saying, while Stonebwoy associates himself with literates and men of class around the globe, Shatta Wale is down here bossing around as local champion and rolling in the gutters.

After sometime, the video got deleted from Stonebwoy’s timeline but fortunately, vibesin5.com got a snapshot of it.

Shatta Wale has responded to the video on his Facebook page. The “country boss” asks Stonebwoy to stop fooling and rather make money.

While some fans of the Bhim president are happy with his act, Shatta Wale’s fans are highly disappointed with such a move from the BET winner, describing it as childish and uncalled for.

Below is Shatta Wale's tweet, click 'Photos' to see a snapshot of stonebwoys video:

According to a facebook post by Prodigal, VIP has been hosting Sallafest concert at the venue since 1998 and least expected the dancehall artiste to set up a stage there.

Sarkodie hits hard at M.aniftest in Kanta song

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has hit hard at M.anifest in his new diss song Kanta.

It comes after M.anifest appeared to take shots at him in his song god MC.

M.anifest had laughed off claims that Sarkodie was the king of rap in Ghana, proclaiming himself the best in the business.

The development prompted Sarkodie to respond with Kanta

Sarkodie releases video for his song "Bossy
If you liked the punchlines on this track, you will love the video as well.

Sarkodie plays the ‘bossy’ role in the video, synonymous with the title of the song. Prior to the release of the video, Sarkodie indulged his fans on social media to anticipate one of the best videos for the year 2016.

10 powerful lines from God mc
Music lovers in Ghana are pointing out that a new rap song by M.anifest is a jab at Sarkodie, especially, and other rappers who claim to the best in the business.

The music enthusiasts analysed some lines in the track on Twitter and other social media platforms:

1.  “What’s a king to a god MC?”
M.anifest’s chorus is said to be a direct attack on Sarkodie who calls himself King Sark and has proclaimed himself the King of Ghana rap.

2. “Clash of the titans, I had dinner with Medusa”

This, according to analysts, is a response to Sarkodie’s Clash Of The Titans song which is said to be a diss to M.anifest. M.anifest mocks the song, saying he had dinner with Medusa.

Former Member of Parliament for Adenta Constituency and Presidential Staffer, Kojo Adu-Asare has hailed Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall recording artiste Samini for his dexterity and lyrical ability, saying he does not do “pedestrian music.”

In his appearance on GH One TV’s mid-day entertainment show ‘RythmzLive One-on-One’ Wednesday, the politician, who traces his involvement in music to the early days of the dynamic group VIP, showered praises on the multiple award-winning Samini.

“I have a lot of respect for Samini because he’s got a style. He can hold a crowd, knows what to do to hold his crowd back-to-back. He does the live band thing more than the others [artistes] and that is the part I like about him,” Hon. Kojo Adu-Asare told Berla Mundi.

The trendy politician added: “He [Samini] is very lyrical, very sharp in the mind and he doesn’t just sing. His songs are heavy and carry a lot of weight. He doesn’t do pedestrian works.

“Until he came out on his own, he did a lot of collaborations and I can say without any equivocation that he even made those songs popular with his contributions. Songs with Obrafour, the Mad-Cobras, the King Davids, I can say it was his version that made them popular.”

Adu-Asare, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) Fund also advised Samini to not veer off his music style.

“I have a lot of respect for his style and I believe he still got a lot in him.

He only has to realign himself; he doesn’t have to follow the flow and just go according to what he knows best. Samini’s style should just keep going.”

Born Emmanuel Andrews Samini, the 34-year-old began his music career in 1999 initially with the stage name Batman Samini.

Samini’s genre of music is a melodious mixture of highlife, dancehall, reggae and hip-hop which he terms as “African dancehall”.

Joey B epitome of brand ambassador
When the name Joey B is mentioned the obvious thing that come in mind is music, but this minute i want us to focus our attention on how the Ghanaian Hip hop rapper is carrying out his ambassadorial deal with addidas Ghana.

In 2015 it was announced that Joey B has been made that brand ambassador for addidas Ghana and since then there has not been any stage that he has mounted or a function the rapper has attended without the "three stripes".

Due to the great influence he has on the youth, Joey B has been able to infest them with his sense of fashion thereby causing them to fall in love with the adidas brand. The "Cigarette" hit maker is known for wearing skinny jeans, sneakers, XL T shirts or sweat shirt coupled with cap. Joey B's fashion style has grown so large that his fellow rappers cannot help it but to follow the trend.

It is believed Joey B's unique sense of fashion and great appeal to the youth won him the adidas ambassadorial deal. One can clearly tell that this decision from has not been a bad one,

Comments from showbiz critics and the general public concerning his ambassadorial deal turn out to be positive due to how well his been able to represent the adidas brand.

There are other artiste who have been signed as brand ambassadors for some institution and companies in Ghana but have not lived up to expectation, this cause can be attributed to lack of passion and believe in the brands that they represent but in the case of Joey B its totally different.

Just recently released a video of his latest single You X I and in the video the adidas brand was properly represented in the master piece.

Why is Joey B so passionate about the"three stripes", could it be that he had love for the brand before he was approached? well according to sources of the "Tonga" hit maker, he has always been in love with the adidas brand from infancy.

Joey B has showed great ambassadorial skills and i will not be surprised if adidas Ghana should renew their contract with him. Our music industry will be at a better position if all musicians will emulate what Joey B is doing.
